Truck driver Goose McSwan helps an elderly man who has broken down at a set of traffic lights.
A71 at West Calder, West Lothian, Scotland.
Driving back to base today (28-4-2017) when I spot an elderly man stood by his broken down car so I decide to go against the grain and see if I can help. Turns out his gears aren’t working and he needs recovery but he is worried about the position of the car and the impact it is having on other traffic. Because he would feel better by getting the car clear of the junction and onto the verge, I offer to push it. That’s when the tipper driver jumps out to help as well, and I am glad that he did!! I didn’t catch any company name on his lorry or get his name but whoever you are… well done pal, didn’t really get the chance to say so earlier.
We love being sent these videos as there is too much bad publicity when it comes to truck drivers in general. It’s a massive thumbs up from us at HGV Dash Cam Footage to Goose and the un-named truck driver who stopped to help and push the car. If you know who he is or you are reading this yourself, please get in touch with us.

It seems as though it’s all in a days work for this truck driver and it’s not the first time this big hearted truck driver has come to the aid of someone needing help.
You may remember him as the truck driver with the Glaswegian bark that helped a lad being assaulted at a bus stop in Birmingham last year. It turns out Goose from Bathgate in Scotland has this built in to his nature being an ex paramedic and ambulance driver.
